The Louise Nicholas Trust

Listening with care.
Speaking with purpose.

Susie Barber serves as Ambassador for The Louise Nicholas Trust. Her advocacy supports awareness and respectful conversations about the experiences of survivors of sexual violence.

In Silenced No More: Unveiling the Taboo of Childhood Sexual Abuse and Rebuilding Trust, she considers the harm caused by childhood sexual abuse and the difficulty of rebuilding trust. This work asks individuals and institutions to take their responsibilities seriously and to recognise the dignity of those who speak.

100% of author book sales from The Dignity Within 2027 tour are donated directly to the Louise Nicholas Trust to fund frontline survivor support across New Zealand.

A continuing commitment

Human dignity belongs
at the centre of the conversation.

In our institutions. In our communities. In the way we listen.

Justice & humanity

Asking difficult
questions responsibly.

Through Death Row, Susie invites readers to examine the human realities surrounding capital punishment. Her interest lies in the relationship between accountability and compassion, and in the ways systems affect the people within them.
